Kitstoby Navajo Lily

This 2004, black snow cap, 15 hh mare came to us from Kits Canyon Appaloosas in Kansas. Lily is 90% FPD and has names such as Pratt Toby Secret, Kemos Fire Shadow, Mansfields Comanche and many more in her pedigree. Lily is a very reliable trail mount and very popular with everyone young and old at Pine Legacy Farm.
Lily has had foals from us from a few different stallions now but her progeny by My Exquisite Heart definitely stand out above the rest. Lily is an exceptional mom and so easy to handle.

NAD Galaxie

We are pleased to welcome Nad Galaxie to our broodmare band. At 4 years old, she is standing a strong 15.3 hh. Galaxie is a black non-characteristic daughter of LVR Vintage Attitude and the stunning Dazzling Vision Spot. This makes her a full sister to NAD Hilary, our palomino mare.
Galaxie has undergone some training and we intend to finally finish her training in the spring of 2021.
Galaxie has proven to be one of our top broodmares. She has produced three superior leopard foals for us, the most recent of which has exported to France!

NAD Hilary

Hilary is a solid n.c. palomino daughter of LVR Vintage Attitude and Dazzling Vision Spot. She is a full sister to our mare NAD Galaxie. Hilary stands a solid 15.2 hh. She is trained under saddle and has nice big movement but she is also a real bulldozer on trails. She has been ridden by both our young and more advanced riders. While definitely the boss mare in a herd, she is sweet tempered and loves her humans.
Hilary has had three black leopard colts to date by both Secret Bear Hunter and CTR Brave Moons Echo.

YM Still Reigning

"Reigna," born in 2011, is a seal brown leopard filly by CTR Chocolate Reign out Oaks Stillwind which makes her a maternal half sister to our mare CTR Stillwind Reign. She is also closely related to PLA Tennesse Rain in that they have the same sire and she is a maternal sister to Tennessee's dam, CTR Lady Nutmeg. Reigna is 100% FPD and has names in her pedigree such as RDF Ti Kha Atta Rain, Pratt Toby Secret, Chief of Fourmille, Storm Cloud F, Red Eagle, Ulrich Many Coups, the Toby's and the list goes on.
Reigna was one of our very first foundation Appaloosas and we adore her. While she can be sassy at times, she has a good mind and likes to work.
Reigna has had two foals by My Exquisite Heart to date and will be bred back to him for 2022.

CTR Stillwind Reign

From her breeder: Stillwind, a CT Ranch home bred daughter of RDF Ti Kha Atta Rain X Oaks Stillwind, is a 16 hand, five generation heavily foundation bred, homozygous mare! This girl has substance, excellent reach, big lofty movement, proud carriage, and the "stamp" of her sire! We are very pleased with Stillwind and feel she has great potential in the sport horse venues.
Stillwind is a real sweetheart and has learned so much in her time with us. If all goes according to plan, she will be trained under saddle in the spring of 2021. Stillwind is also an excellent mother. You can see her previous foals at CT Ranch on their website. She has had one filly for us, PLA April Rain, to date.

Eclats Coco Confetti

Coco is a solid n.c. bay daughter of 16.3 hand dressage stallion, Chocolate Confetti and Frank Scripter bred, Eclats Surprise. It is Chocolate Confetti, who ultimately created and sealed acceptance in the dressage world for the foundation Appaloosa by consistently placing against the Warmbloods.
To say Coco is a beautiful mover is an understatement. She definitely has that "look at me" factor going on!
Coco is broodmare sound only due to an old hip injury. She has proven to be an excellent mom and produced her first two foals for us by both CTR Smokin Hot Eagle and CTR Brave Moons Echo.
She is in foal for 2021 to CTR Brave Moons Echo. Stay tuned!

PLA Tennessee Rain

Tennessee was our very first foundation Appaloosa foal born on our farm. She is by CTR Chocolate Reign out of CTR Lady Nutmeg. We purchased Lady Nutmeg in foal from Yellow Medicine Appalooas. From day one, she stole our hearts with her big, fluid movement and sweet temperament. Of course, when the opportunity came to buy her back, we didn't hesitate. Tennessee has grown into a big, beautiful mare who stands 16hh. She is a great mom and an even better saddle partner.
Tennessee is 5 panel negative, EE Aa LPLP.

CTR Atta October Sky

From the breeder: This bay leopard daughter of RDF Ti Kha Atta Rain x Makis Fire In The Sky is simply fantastic! Sweet and loving yes, but with one look in her eyes you can clearly see this girl is SMART! She takes everything in and thinks everything through! As a weanling she preferred to buck, play and race at top speeds rather than to stand still for boring scratches! The ability she has to jump straight up in the air and spin before she hits the ground is amazing to watch. We originally gave her the barn name of Skylar, but it did not take long to realize that "Hotrod" fit her much better. We think she will prove to be an incredible asset to Appaloosa gene pool.
Hotrod is broodmare sound only due to an old injury. You can see her previous foals on the CT Ranch website. She has had one filly for us, PLA Ebony Sky, and is in foal for 2021 to My Exquisite Heart!
Hotrod has been genetically tested through UC Davis and is EE/Aa/LP/lp/PATN1/patn1 She is also negative on the 5 panel test.

Ochoco Ellie

Ellie thumb We are very exited to introduce this stunning black non-characteristic mare to our herd. A huge thank you to Noell Devenny of Desert Spirit Appaloosas for the opportunity. This beauty stands 15.1 hh and what a mover. Ellie is currently visiting in Saskatchewan and is in foal to HMH Phantom Spirit for a 2016 foal. You can see Phantom on the Greenwood Ranch, home of Ghostwind Appaloosas website.
Ellie's DNA test results: EE aa lp/lp PATT1/PATN1!!!!! This mare is homozygous black and PATN1, we see spots in our future!
